How To Bypass Your Conscious Mind and Program Yourself For Success

Posted by admin - June 20th, 2008

Emile Coué, the French psychotherapist once said: “When the
imagination and will power are in conflict, are antagonistic, it
is always the imagination which wins, without any exception.”
Then you can program yourself for success by understanding the
power of imagination.

Imagination builds cities. Imagination makes dreams come true.
Imagination will drive a lot of people to success, and you are a
part of it.

We know that imagination and rationalization don’t go each other
so well.

When you dream, the right hemisphere of the brain and your
subconscious mind are working and usually, you feel peace, you
see compelling pictures and you hear beautiful sounds. Success is
within your reach. But the problem is that the left hemisphere of
the brain is also working and usually tells you “you can’t do
that” or “it’s not for you” “You don’t deserve it” “what if I
tell my friends and family?” “You are crazy”.

The truth is that you are unique and your contribution is
important. You can make a difference and have success. High
achievers are only what you will become in a few years, aren’t
they?

There are some “tricks” I would say or some proven methods and
techniques to program yourself for success. The only and
necessary step to do that is to bypass your conscious mind. When
done, your subconscious mind takes it over. You can freely dream,
visualize yourself win the game of life. You turbo charge your
mind and you program yourself for success. This is how successful
people do and that’s what you will do from now!

The three components of the programming of your mind are
relaxation, visualization and affirmation.

1. Relaxation: the first key to mental programming for success.
As we start to relax our brain wave cycles start to slow down and
our brain would enter what is called the Alpha State in which the
conscious mind has effectively fallen asleep, and our
subconscious mind remains in control of our Autonomic Nervous
System. During relaxation, the mind relaxes, the body unwinds. It
is here where our thoughts slow down until they become so light
they begin to float. It is here that we are able to restore, re-
energize and empower ourselves and harness the power of the
subconscious mind to help create long-lasting change. Alpha state
is the gateway, the entry point that leads into the subconscious

2. Visualization: the second key to mental programming for
success.

Through relaxation you enter a state of creativity, essential for
your success. You can induce new thoughts and new beliefs to your
subconscious. And now you hold the image of what you really want
and act as if you already possess it. Remember, imagination rules
your lives, frightens you, excites you or undermines you.
Pictures make you worry or happy. Clear pictures, and rich
details, of what you really want is one of the critical factors
for your success.

3. Affirmations: the third key to mental programming for success.
You can induce new thoughts and new beliefs to your subconscious
by affirmations or suggestions. One of the power principles of
the subconscious mind is the compliance principle meaning that
part of the mind complies to where you direct him to go. In the
book, the one minute millionaire” from Robert Allen and Mark
Victor Hanson, one of the affirmations they encourage us to say
is “I walk like a millionaire, I act like a millionaire, I’m a
millionaire”. When you add feelings, it doubles or even triple
the result. Really believe what you’re inducing.

You can program yourself for success. It is all about using the
same tools and techniques that high achievers used. Relax,
visualize and affirm what you really want out of life. You can
win and you deserve to win. It is reserved only for those who
really want to go for it. Are you ready to take your personal and
professional life to a whole new level?

A new level of peace and congruency! This is what “Moving From
Vision To Action” is going to give you. Learn in this unique

the success you want. NOW! http://www.vision-to-action.com

How Are You Inventing Your Life Today?

Posted by admin - June 1st, 2008

“Organisms do not experience environments, they create them.”
– From A Simpler Way, by Margaret Wheatley

Walking down Lincoln Avenue in Portsmouth, I am struck by the beauty of the day - forsythia, tulips and daffodils, bright sun, warm breeze - and the freedom and privilege I have to walk in a healthy body, through a friendly neighborhood, of my own volition. I think about how much I take for granted, and how easy it is to feel centered and content when life is easy, flowing, and conflict free.

The day before was not so. It was rainy, windy, and cold. I hadn’t slept and woke up short-tempered and irritable. (Will winter never end?!) A project I’d been putting off could not be postponed any longer, and I knew I had to finish it even though I had no inspiration for it. My body ached from hard aikido practice the night before, and I felt tired and lacked energy. I opened a window and spilled a potted plant all over my office floor. And the last piece of my favorite toasting bread had mysteriously disappeared from its storage place. Tomorrow - who knows? As my friend Carol says, life can fall on your head at any moment.

So how do I walk my talk, change my attitude, adjust my goals, and reinvent my life even when I don’t feel like it? I kept thinking: You can do this, this is great, exactly what you look for - ideal opportunities to practice . . . center, breathe, laugh. Sure, it’s easy to be centered when things are going your way. This is the perfect day to practice - when they aren’t.

I’m embarrassed to say that it was still hard. The only good news that I was able to give myself was that I noticed. I could see I was having a “pity party,” which was a step in the right direction. Friend and colleague, Joy Jacobs, calls this ability to step outside our selves and acknowledge our reactions meta-communication. My meta-communicator is the role that says, Hey, Judy, you’re really having a strong reaction to that plant falling over. Whoah! Are you sure you want to throw it through the window? Right, probably not.

The meta-communicator is the insulation between my reaction and my response. It keeps me from getting dragged down an emotionally reactive path that I will probably regret. The ability to meta-communicate is a sign of emotional intelligence, analogous to self-awareness, and essential to self-control. Without the ability to meta-communicate, I get lost in the emotion and identify with it. There is no distance, no separation between me and my mental state; the attitude, emotion, or mood overrides conscious thought and takes me wherever it wants. I can only talk about the emotion again (like this) when it’s played itself out and I regain the ability to see it.

Centering awakens the meta-communicator. Taking a moment of literal and figurative inspiration - breathing and connecting to my power source - gives me the time and the space to decide if I want to get dragged off or not.

Pity parties are fun sometimes. I can enjoy getting together telephonically or in person with special friends. We dress up in our best long-suffering attitudes and moan about this event or that person, how much work there is to do and how little time. We bring our meta-communicators along, and we laugh at ourselves in the midst of our complaining. It’s a lot more fun to whine with awareness.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama said, “If you don’t like what’s happening in your life, change your mind.” How do you like what’s happening in your life at the moment? I realize it may be a lot more challenging than winter weather in May. Still, gently experiment with changing your relationship to life events, and see what happens.

When I am willing and able to do this, to change my mind, everything changes. It begins by noticing my reactive state.
I’m upset.
Okay - Upset Energy. How can I use it in a way that’s congruent with my values and vision?

I take charge of it, before it takes charge of me.
I begin to travel a path of power and presence, instead of a path of reactivity and regret.

As I place that bit of padding between my reaction and my response, I reclaim my power. I reconnect with what is really important. Why am I here? What do I want to contribute to this workplace, this family unit, this relationship? What are my hopes for this conversation? How will I impact this meeting?

More sunny days and uplifting moments are on the horizon. But whatever the external or internal weather conditions, I am protected by an inner spring of insight that is always awake, aware, and available to be turned on at any moment. And I remember all that I have to be grateful for, including the privilege of having unsettling emotions.

How are you inventing your life today, this moment? Is life a struggle, or does it flow? It’s possible that the answers are really up to you.

Why Did My “Perfect Partner” Leave Me? Part two of a two-part series.

Posted by admin - May 19th, 2008

In part one of this series, we examined: “Why am I NOT in a relationship with the love of my life?”

In Part 2, we’ll look at why a seemingly “perfect partnership” falls apart and how to turn such a disappointment or pain into great personal growth.

So, you made your list of what you want in a guy (or gal) and you attracted THE ONE. You just know this is THE ONE because they seem to fulfill every desire on your list. WOW! You didn’t know you were so powerful, did you? In fact, the realization of just how powerful you are can make your head spin–your vibration soars! And “Oh, I just know this is the perfect person,” becomes your mantra. You begin to see each other often. You spend lots of time discussing everything from your favorite color to foods and sharing life experiences. Where has this person been? Why did it take us so long to find each other? In your mind and imagination, you can see the two of you together forever.

And then, it may be weeks, or months later, you are NOT together and you wonder, “Did I do something wrong? Is the Universe playing tricks on me? I thought this was THE ONE. What happened?” They found someone else. Or you discover something about them that caused you to withdraw from them. Maybe you just drifted apart. One thing is true, the disappointment of this relationship has released a tirade of self-depreciation and reinforced the old tapes–”It might happen for others, but it won’t happen for me” and “I’ve missed my one chance at true love!”

Let’s look at three reasons why a seemingly “perfect relationship” might not last forever:

Reason # 1

The Law of Attraction teaches us that we attract people, opportunities, situations and things that are in harmony with our dominant vibration. What happens, sometimes, is that that people are harmonious for a while, and then one person makes a decision or changes and sets themselves on a path that no longer harmonizes with our vibration.

Reason # 2

You did not realize that some things in a relationship are very important until the relationship ended. Do you remember the lady who wrote to me in part one of this series? She had not realized how important it is to attract a lover who has healed from past hurts. While she is still in love with this man, he could not remain in the relationship, due to his fear that she would one day leave him as his former lover had. To protect himself, he ended the relationship with the writer. He simply was not ready for a deep lasting relationship. Now, this lady has “healed and ready to commit” at the top of her list!

Reason # 3

Your Higher Self is ready for you to evolve into a more complete self-acceptance. That’s right your Higher Self knows just how much you depend on others for your self-esteem and so it sets the stage for a dramatic (and often painful) situation.

This Higher Self is the True You. The One you’ve shied away from. The YOU you’ve avoided for so long. Your Higher Self has a message for you and wants your attention. It will have your attention sooner or later. And the sooner, the easier the lesson.

I have a client, who is nearly 60 years old, who is being confronted with this lesson and it is so painful to watch her struggle with it. The GOOD NEWS is that our Higher Self only wants our highest good and that includes:

KNOWING yourself

ACCEPTING yourself

HONORING yourself

TRUSTING yourself

LOVING yourself.

Once we believe that we ARE magnificent, delicious, marvelously designed spirits having a human experience–that there is NOTHING WRONG with us–that we ARE COMPLETE–that we don’t need another human to make us whole–then we are ready for the most delightful, deep, satisfying personal relationships. All our desires will manifest in many meaningful and/or intimate relationships.

Ask yourself:

“Am I willing to learn more about myself so I can accept all parts of myself?”

“Am I willing to assign my own sense of worth or value?”

“Do I love and care for myself enough to ‘grieve and get over’ the lost lover?”

“Can I use this opportunity to understand myself better?”

If you ARE willing to grow and learn more about yourself through a difficult loss of a relationship, chances are you will attract someone into your life whose vibration is in beautiful harmony with yours.
